At the Stockholm Building Fair, MiTek’s Peter Koski gave a well-received talk on innovative hybrid solutions for the construction industry.
The spotlight was on Posi-Joist’s unique properties, enabling long spans, low weight, and room for technical installations.
Peter explained how Posi-Joist simplifies assembly, saves time, and offers superior performance in terms of acoustics, vibrations, and sustainability. With prefabricated components, on-site logistics are improved, making construction faster, safer, and more environmentally friendly.

Several reference projects were presented, including Havshöjden in Nacka, the Hangaren in Gagnef, a hotel project in the Koster Islands, and an office building in Falkenberg. What these projects have in common is efficiency, smart installation techniques, and excellent acoustic performance – often achieved with slim constructions that meet sound class B, and even A.
Peter concluded by emphasizing that a hybrid solution delivers better results than the sum of its parts. These solutions are not only technically advanced – they also contribute to more sustainable building practices.
